Programmed Learning
The essence of programmed learning lies in the high degree of structuring of the presented material and step-by-step assessment of its mastery. In programmed learning, information is presented in small blocks in printed form or on a computer monitor. After reading each block of material, the learner must answer questions designed to assess the depth of understanding and the extent of mastery of the studied material. After each response, learners have the opportunity to receive feedback indicating its correctness. The main advantage of programmed learning is that it allows the learner to proceed at their own pace, convenient for them, with the transition to the next block of information occurring only after the previous one has been mastered.
