Military Service


1. Military service is a special type of federal state service performed by citizens who do not have the citizenship (allegiance) of a foreign state in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and in the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation (hereinafter - other troops), in engineering-technical, road-construction military formations at federal executive bodies and in rescue military formations of the federal executive body authorized to perform tasks in the field of civil defense (hereinafter - military formations), the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, federal security service bodies, state protection bodies and the federal body responsible for ensuring mobilization preparedness of government bodies of the Russian Federation (hereinafter - bodies), military units of the federal fire service and special formations created during wartime, and by citizens who have citizenship (allegiance) of a foreign state and foreign citizens in the Armed Forces. of the Russian Federation, other military units and formations

Military service is a type of federal state service, consisting of professional service activities performed by citizens in military positions or non-military positions under the conditions and circumstances provided for by federal laws and/or normative legal acts of the President of the Russian Federation, in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, other troops, military (special) formations and bodies performing functions related to ensuring the defense and security of the state. Such citizens are assigned military ranks.
