Black pepper
Allspice [115] is dried fruits of the evergreen tree Pimenta dioica officinalis L. (from the myrtle family). Allspice is available whole or ground. The color of whole allspice is brown, in various shades; ground allspice has a grayish-brown color, and its taste is pungent and fiery.
