Chartering
Chartering - concluding a chartering agreement (charter) for hiring a vessel for cargo transportation. A charter is concluded between the shipowner and the charterer for the lease of the entire vessel or its part for a specific voyage or period and must include the names of the parties (the charterer and the freighter). Freight payment for cargo transportation. The entity engaged in operating equipment and controlling its movement is considered its operator. The operator provides a report on revenue (from services rendered during cargo transportation) and payments (for taking this equipment on lease from the ship's owner or previous operator). Usually, these relations are long-term (more than 1 year) and are not reflected in reports. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that the subject refers to operational leasing (lease term up to 1 year). In this case, payments for operational leasing made by the operator to its owner are reflected in Section 1 "Information on Rendered Services, Completed Works, and Transfer of Results of Intellectual Activity" (according to the corresponding codes), while receipts received by the operator for rendered services from freight transportation are reflected in Section 2 "Information on Rendered Services for the Transportation of Goods and Passengers"
