Confirmation


e) "confirmation" of an obligation means an obligation issued by a confirming party at the request of the guarantor/issuer in addition to the obligation of the guarantor/issuer, granting the beneficiary the right, at its sole discretion, to claim payment from the confirming party instead of the guarantor/issuer upon simple demand or upon demand accompanied by other documents in accordance with any documentary conditions of the confirmed obligation without prejudice to the beneficiary's right to claim payment from the guarantor/issuer;
