Customs territory
Each state has its own customs territory, which consists of the land territory, territorial and internal waters, and the air space above them.
The customs territory of a state also includes artificial islands, installations, and structures located in the exclusive economic zone of the sea, over which the state has exclusive jurisdiction with regard to customs matters.
The boundaries of the customs territory of a state, as well as the perimeters of free customs zones and free warehouses, constitute the customs border of the state.
